Prayer — 16 October 2013

16 Oct

Good Morning God, thank you for this wonderful, chilly morning.  Thank you for life, breath and for my very existence.  Thank you O God for all of your creation.  Most of all, thank you for your Son, Jesus the Christ, who lowered himself and came to earth in human form to minister to us, to teach us, to be an example to us, and most of all to suffer and die for our sins and then be raised again so that we may be reconciled to you.

I do ask that you will be with me through this day to help me to reach out to the people that I come across.  Help me to see them as you do, to see and know their pain, issues, concerns and to help them in their place of need.  Help me to be in tune with your Spirit so that I will be able to serve them.

Loving God, I do lift up people that I am aware of to you this morning that are in need of your blessing.  You know their individual needs and what is best for them.  These people are: Katrina, Arthur, Winnie, Chuck, Noel, Mary and Dave, Rick, Lorrine and James, Marrissa, Ray, Raymond, Dave, Marcus, Danielle, Scott, Mark, Stillwater Congregation, and please be with the President and Congress.  I do ask O God that you will please bless each person and group according to their needs.  Bless them with your healing touch, love, grace, peace, forgiveness, strength and comfort.  Help them to make good decisions, decisions that go along with your will.  Help them to work together, to stop pointing fingers, and to come to a solution to fund the government and to temporarily raise the debt ceiling so that they can then work out a balanced budget and spending bill that will start lowering our debt.

Please give us wisdom and knowledge as we study your Word.  Open our eyes to see, our ears to hear, and our hearts and brains to know your truth.  Help us to incorporate your truth into our lives so that we are always living examples and witnesses.  Help us to be able to articulate our witness and compassion to others.  Help us to show and give your unconditional love and grace to everyone.

I do ask that you be with me and with all of your servants.  Help us to be in tune with you so that we will know how best to tend the flock that you have given us to take care of.  Help us to reach out and to minister unto them and unto our communities.  Guide us in our ministry and help us to be better servants.  Help us all to preach repentance, love, grace and help us to show the people you.

Thank you again O God for your many blessings and miracles you give us each and every day.  I ask these things in your Son’s most holy and sacred name, Jesus the Christ.  Amen.

Prayer — 15 October 2013

15 Oct

This is the prayer that I typed out this morning on my tablet that I wasn’t able to post until now.

Our loving and almighty God, I come before you this morning to thank you for being with us and for giving me another day to serve you by serving the people I come into contact with today.  Please help me to see and to take advantage of the opportunities that will come before me today.  Help me to be a good witness, a good servant, that will help the people  I come into contact with at their point of need.  Help me to show your love and grace to each person.

O God, I pray you will continue to be with me and to open my mind, heart and soul to you and to your Holy Spirit as I study, meditate and pray.  Help me to grow and mature in my spiritual walk and help me to continue to walk ever closer to you.  Please help me to see and to know your truth…not that the world accepts, or that past theologians have expressed, but your real truth.  Help me to know you better and to be able to share you with others in such a way that it will help them on their walk with you.  Please help me to be your servant, your tool, to help build your kingdom here on earth and to take care of the sheep you have put under my care.

Creator God, please be with these people that I have on my heart this morning:  Katrina, Dave and Mary, Noel, Arthur, Winnie, Chuck, Rick, Lorrine and James, Marrissa, Ray, Raymond, Dave, Marcus, Danielle, Scott and Mark.  You know what they are going through individually and what is best for each of them.  I pray that you will bless them according to their needs.  Please pour your healing Spirit upon them along with your love, grace, peace, strength and forgiveness.  Please be with their families and the medical staff that is taking care of them.

Thank you again O God for all things and I ask all things in your Son’s holy name, Jesus the Christ, our Lord, Savior and Redeemer.  Amen.

O God, I come before you this afternoon seeking your wisdom, guidance and help as I continue to prepare for Saturday’s class that I am teaching on the office of Elder.  Help me to prepare to bring to the students the things you would have me to focus on.  Help me to guide them into a better understanding of the office and to help them on their journey with you.

Additionally, please continue to help me as I write the curriculum for the adult Sunday school class.  Help me to be open to and to listen to your voice, your Spirit as I write the material and as I lead the class.  And Father God, please help me as I continue to lead the Bible study.  Guide me and help me to facilitate the study so that we all can be open to you so that we will learn more about your truth and how to apply it to our lives.

Creator God, I lift up to you this afternoon the following people and ask that you will bless them according to their individual needs:  Bob, Katrina, Arthur, Winnie, Lorene and James, Ray, Marcus, Danielle, Dave and Mary, Marissi, Raymond, Scoot, Mark, Sonny, Hazel, David, and Noel.  Please pour your Spirit upon them and their families and bless them with healing of body, mind, emotionally and spiritually; peace, love, grace, forgiveness, strength and comfort.

I ask all things in your Son’s name, Jesus the Christ, our Lord, Savior and Redeemer.  Amen

Prayer — 13 October 2013

13 Oct

Good morning Creator God.  Thank you for giving me another day to serve your people.  Thank you for your amazing love, grace and for the second, third…tenth plus chance.  Thank you for your forgiveness.  Thank you for your Holy Spirit that is with us.  Thank you.

O God, I ask that you will continue to be with me as I work on this Sunday School curriculum for the adult class.  Please give me wisdom and help me to provide a good commentary that will be helpful to the students in their understanding and spiritual growth and that the commentary will be accurate to your truth.  Help me to think of good questions that will be thought provoking, that will help the students in their understanding, but will not be a stump the dummy type.  Help me to write this curriculum so that it will be a good study guide for them and not something for my own ego.

I also ask for your direction, guidance and wisdom as I prepare for the second half of the Elder’s course.  Help me to finish preparing for this course.  Help me to put my lesson plan together to be able to get all of the information you want me to bring to them in the five hours I have allotted.  Again, O God, I ask for your Spirit to be with me to give me wisdom so I will be able to help the students/participants to grow in their understanding of this office and how they/we can grow in our ministry.

Almighty God, I lift up to you the President of the United States and the Congress.  Please help them, guide them as they work on the federal government funding bill and the upcoming debt ceiling.  Please help them to set aside their egos, to set aside their parties, to set aside their personal agendas.  Help them to work together to pass a funding bill to get this government running again and to temporarily raise the debt ceiling to avoid the devastating effects that are predicted if they don’t.  Help them to then work on a balanced budget and a workable plan to decrease our national debt so we can start lowering our debt ceiling.  O God, please help them to seek you so that they will be able to govern this country better.

Creator God, I lift up to you this morning several people that I have on my heart:  Bob, Katrina, Debbie, Jordan, Ray, Raymond, Marissi, Kayla, Sonny, Hazel, Noel, Arthur, Winnie, Lorrine, James, Dawn’s fiance, David, Mike, Danielle, Marcus, Mark, Scott, Nancy, Liethia.  You know what is going on with each of them, and I ask that you will bless them according to their needs.  Please pour upon them and their families your healing Spirit, your love, grace, strength, comfort, and peace.

Please be with all of your servants as they prepare to serve your people.  Put on their hearts what you want them to bring to their congregations.  Help us, all of your servants, to minister to their needs, to show not only our congregations but to all people your endless and boundless love, grace and forgiveness.  Help us O Lord to share your wonderful Spirit with everyone we come into contact with.  Help us to reach out to our congregations and beyond to those people that are in pain, that feel that they are lost, that feel that they have nothing to contribute and that feel helpless…help us O God to show them you, and how you are already there and how much you want to gather them into your bosom if they will but let you.  Help us to share your hope.  Help us to be your servants and instruments of peace.

Father god, please help me to empty myself of everything that separates me from you and fill me with your Spirit.  Help me to be your servant.  Help me to see people the way you see them, help me to love everyone the way you love all of your creation.  Help me to serve as you would have me serve.  O God, please help me to know what it is you would have me do, help to know how you want me to serve.  Please Father, help me to see the vision you have for me.

Please O God, be with me/us through out this day.  Help us to see the opportunities to serve that will present themselves to us.  Help us to be open to your Spirit and help us to reach out and to serve the people as they need at point in their lives.  Help us to sow your love, grace and hope.  Help us O God to be the people, the witnesses, the ministers that you have called us to be.  Help us Father to be your servants today.

I ask all things in your Son’s most holy and sacred name, Jesus the Christ, our Lord, Redeemer and Savior.  Amen.

Almighty God, thank you for this day you have given us, and for all of creation.  Your workmanship is without compare and is perfect.  Thank you for your immense love, grace, comfort, guidance and forgiveness.  You are great and wonderful.  Thank you, O’ God for being with each of us and taking such good care of us.  Thank you for the countless blessings and the miracles you perform in our daily lives that we take for granted.  All that we have, we have from you, and we are just the managers of your resources.

Creator god, I lift Danielle up to you and I pray O God that you will help her to make a good, fact-based decision about moving back to Michigan.  Help to look past the emotions and to look at the financial and practical sides of this move and how difficult it will be to get a job when neither her or Michael have a car.  Help her to look at all of the pros and cons of going to Michigan versus staying here.  And if she still decides to go, I ask that you bless her and help her to find a good job quickly and guide and direct and protect her.  Touch her heart as well as her mind so that she will remember that you are God and how much you love her.  Pour your Spirit on her and in her as well as your grace, love, strength, forgiveness and hope.

Sorry I’ve Been Away

12 Oct

I am sorry that I have been away for so long.  I will strive to get back to sharing my prayers and thoughts.

Prayer — 1 July 2013

1 Jul

This was an on-going prayer throughout the day.  I am sorry that I have been absent and not typing daily prayers.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, I come to you this morning to praise you and to worship you.  Thank you O God for this wonderful day you have given to us along with the opportunities that will come throughout the day to worship, pray, praise and witness.  Help us to keep our focus on you as we go about our daily tasks.  Help us to pray throughout the day and when we’re not praying to be in a prayer type attitude.

O God, I come before you at this time to seek your forgiveness and grace.  I have allowed things from this world to hold onto my attention and to draw my attention away from you and away from the people that are sharing in these prayers.  I do ask for forgiveness from not only you but from the people who read this blog.  Help me Father to keep my focus on you and to share my witness and prayers more regularly on the blog so that I might witness to more people.  Help us to realize that we are like Isaiah, a people of unclean lips, and that only through you and your son, Jesus, are we cleansed.  Thank you our loving God for your forgiveness and grace that you give to us freely.  Help us to forgive ourselves so that we will be able to open ourselves up to you fully and to focus on your love, goodness, and grace.  That way we can become better at reflecting your love and grace to others so they will know you better.

Father God, I lift up to you not only the people that I am aware of Janelle, Hazel, Kayla, Gerald and his wife, Winnie and Chuck, Brooke, Ryan’s mother, Barbara, Danielle, Marcus, Jane and John, James, Mark, Marilyn, Debbie, Jessica, Martha, Bill, Alex, Marissa, Cindy, Julia, Herald, Edith, Cooper, Timm and Melissa, Chris and his family, Mary, Pastor Saeed Abedini and all of the Christian churches in Iran, Egypt and other countries where they are being persecuted, but I also want to lift all of the people up to you that I don’t know about that are suffering from violence, fear, abuse, health issues and joblessness.  Please be with them and bless them according to their needs.  Father God I also come before you concerning my own health issues.  I ask that you will be with the doctors, surgeon, nurses and their staffs and technicians as they look at my case and help them to properly diagnose and come up with a treatment plan.  Father God, I ask that if it can be used to glorify your name and to help people to draw closer to you for you to heal me right now before I see the surgeon tomorrow, I pray that you heal me now.  If it better serves to glorify you and to bring people to you for me to go through treatment, then I ask for the strength to continue to move forward in praise and thanksgiving and I ask that you would help me to witness to people and to help bring them to you through this issue/illness.  I know that nothing on this earth can separate me from you and your love unless I want it to and allow it to.

Thank you again O God for life, the countless blessings you have given to my family and myself, for your love, forgiveness and abundant grace.  I thank you for all things and I praise your holy name and worship you O God.

Eternal God, I do continue to ask that you will be with each of us as we go through today and this week that we will search for reasons to lift people up and to show them your great love.  Help us to be good witnesses to everyone we come into contact with through our daily lives.  Help us to see the opportunities that come before us to witness and to serve the people around us and to show them your love and grace.

O God, I come to you to ask that you will put upon my heart and the heart of all of your servants through the world regardless of their denomination or faith group, what you would have us speak on as we prepare to lead worship services throughout this week.  Help us to bring to your congregations the words that you would have them hear.  Help us to preach/teach love, grace, peace to everyone. Help us to tear down the walls that are dividing us and help us to build each other up and to share your love and peace.  Help us to be good servants and to listen to your voice and to obey your Holy Spirit.

Thank you Father God, for being with us throughout this day and guiding us as we tried to witness for you and to share your love with everyone that we dealt with.  Please continue to be with us and to open our hearts and eyes to the people that are around us.  Help us to see them as you see them and to love them as you do.  Please open our minds and hearts to your word as we study.  Help us to get to know you better and to know your truth as it really is.

We ask all things in your son’s most holy and sacred name, Jesus the Christ, our Lord and Savior.  Amen.
